Role
The Fawley Inspection Group has a key role in assuring the integrity and reliability of fixed equipment and piping at the Fawley Refinery Site. The Inspection Engineer position within this Group reports to a Lead Inspection Engineer, with responsibilities to a specific Business Unit.



Training will be provided to meet local requirements and that of the accreditation body.

Job Description
•Planning for and day to day support of inspection activities.


•Administrating the corporate Risk Based Inspection systems and written schemes.


•Application of the Quality systems to meet Pressure Systems Safety Regulations. Act as a competent person in terms of the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations, or work towards this competency.


•Implementation of risk based inspection and equipment strategies (written schemes).


•Plan and co-ordinate inspection and NDT services by others.


•Analyse and act upon inspection results.


•Liaise with Operations, Maintenance and Technical Departments including risk assessment, trouble shooting and problem resolution.


•Provide leadership and technical support for static equipment integrity, reliability turnarounds and specific project activities.



Qualifications
•Ideally a degree qualified Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer equivalent or
HND / HNC qualified working to incorporated status.



Knowledge Skills
•A minimum of 3 – 5 years' relevant industry experience, including inspection of major pressure systems.


•Knowledgeable of inspection, mechanical engineering, welding, materials, corrosion mechanisms, NDT techniques and QA/QC relative to fabrications.
