As part of a wider investment group, our client has many years of expertise in realising the value of academic research. Investing the company's own funds, they develop and enhance intellectual property to build businesses. They lower the risk for industrial partners by bridging the funding and R&D gap to make early stage, transformational technologies viable.
The company now seeks a Non-Executive Chairman to support the senior management team in the strategic development of the business plan in line with the expectations of the investors. As a proven business leader the ideal candidate will advise on the management of all key stakeholder relationships including banks, investors, clients and suppliers. In an operational capacity the Non-Executive Chairman will advise on various areas including business development, mentoring and development of the executive, business systems and processes and financial management.
As a result the candidate will need to demonstrate a track record of success in his / her business career as a senior executive. Likewise they will need to demonstrate a strong record of business growth including acquisition and integration. As expected, exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence at every level will be required. Experience of operating in a non-executive advisory capacity to a board of directors, and external investors and shareholders is essential.
