The objective of this role is to fulfil a regional technical specialist consulting position who supports multiple European and Middle Eastern refineries. The appointee will also be expected to provide in depth technical leadership and support to refining sites with a focus on troubleshooting, asset improvement and technology selection

| Role | The Project Engineer/Manager will provide project management support for medium/large capital investment projects for ExxonMobil affiliate refinery sites in Europe and the Middle East. The incumbent is responsible for co-ordinating the efforts of project teams/owners/contractors during development and execution of these projects.

| Main Tasks & Responsibilities | Managing contractor safety for all contractors working within his area of responsibility.
Owner representative for implementation of labour agreement(s) and ongoing development of working practices within Projects Department.
Ensure management teams are developed and in place in a timely manner to enable Refinery and Corporate objectives to be secured.
Ensure plans are developed and implemented for each project regarding timeliness of execution within the project objectives of safety, schedules, budgets and quality.
Continually implement all requirements of the law, refinery and company policies.
Establish and implement systems and procedures to ensure compliance of Management - Controls with the project group and contractor organisation under his control.
Ensure senior management is updated of project progress through formal and informal management reporting systems.
Establish and maintain adequate communications and controls with project team.
Identify problem areas in project execution and provide/resource proper support for the project team as required.
Seek out opportunities for improving cost effectiveness/cost reductions in all activities associated with project execution.
Develop and maintain sound interface relationships with other departments in the refinery.
Develop and maintain Continuous Improvement Processes.
Review implementation of Owner's security, fire protection and safety regulations by managing contractor.

| Qualifications | Engineering degree (1st Class or 2:1)
ExxonMobil Cost & Schedule training (provided in first 2 years)
3-8 years’ industrial experience, preferably in the petrochemical industry
|
| Knowledge & Skills | Experience in Cost & Schedule Engineering is desirable but not essential as full training will be given
